LumApps selected for SAP.iO’s Deskless Workforces & People Management Program
This recognition is part of our employee experience platform strategy in the mobile, HR, and operations domains.
Research from SAP SuccessFactors revealed that deskless workers (i.e. workers who complete their work away from a desk and lack consistent access to technology or internal system) face unique challenges across the employee lifecycle, such as outdated hiring processes, inadequate rewards, and lack of opportunities for meaningful development beyond ongoing required training.
While representing 80% of the world’s workforce, deskless workers – and the managers and HR teams that support them – often lack technologies tailored to solve their most pressing issues.
A mobile app to connect and empower deskless employees
LumApps supports deskless workers, frontline workers, and employees on the go – three groups with different needs – with our branded mobile app. Not only does it connect them to their company, culture, and peers, but the LumApps app also enables them to access mission-critical resources and tools (such as SAP SuccessFactors HCM solution and other business apps) and to share knowledge and best practices in a media-rich format to do their best work.
A secure QR code login accelerates LumApps mobile app onboarding and adoption, with managers and team leaders being able to provide reports and colleagues with authenticated access without them having to enter an email or password.
Deskless but not voiceless employees
“Frontline workers might be deskless, but they should not be voiceless," says Claire Schaunch, Group Organization Development and Communication Director at FM Logistic, who deployed LumApps mobile app.
"It is a solution that allows us to unite all in-store and warehouse teams that do not own a computer. In the face of rapid changes in the retail sector, it has become essential to equip these employees who are at the service of our customers," adds Marie-Laure Tsimbidima, Head of Internal Communications at Galeries Lafayette.
“LumApps mobile app is very easy to use and everything is close to you on your smartphone without having to open the laptop. Always being up to date with the latest news”, says Gunther Soetinck, Retail Sales Team Manager at Proximus. “IT and mobility support is also very easy to look up and find resources.”
By combining our expertise with the innovative solutions of our partner startups, we can provide our customers with the capabilities they need to create a better employee experience, no matter where they work.
— Aaron Green, Chief Marketing & Solutions Officer, SAP SuccessFactors
LumApps aims to provide a higher level of tailored mobile experience to deskless and frontline workers, with access to operations-related information and support in operations-related activities. As part of this strategy, we are proud to be selected by a panel of SAP SuccessFactors solution experts as one of the 10 international startups whose solutions address deskless workers’ unique challenges.
This program will also enable us to strengthen and enrich our integrations with SAP SuccessFactors leading HCM system (user provisioning & profile enrichment with data coming from SAP SuccessFactors and absence requests via AI-based conversational interface) and provide frontline workers and deskless employees with the work environment they need to be engaged, productive, and succeed, and for their company to thrive. Time tracking, shift planning, leave of absence, approvals, and mandatory learning are among key use case candidates.
As stated by Aaron Green, Chief Marketing & Solutions Officer at SAP SuccessFactors, in the 2023 SAP.iO program presentation press release: ”At SAP, we are committed to helping our customers succeed in a rapidly changing world, and we understand the critical role employee experience plays in the success of any organization. By combining our expertise with the innovative solutions of our partner startups, we can provide our customers with the capabilities they need to create a better employee experience, no matter where they work.”
“Our employee experience platform strategy aims at providing both desk and deskless workers with an efficient, connected, and productive workplace, that engages each of them through ultra-personalized and smart communications, and empowers them to do their best work”, explains Laurent Duquesne, Product Manager, Integrations & Tech Partners at LumApps. “AI technology and 100+ rich integrations with mission-critical apps enable that. In the HR and Operation domains, they include SAP SuccessFactors, Workday — LumApps belonging to the Workday Emerging Partner program —, Lucca, Roadoo, social advocacy, employee recognition, ServiceNow, Jira, and more”.
