LumApps named a Finalist in the Modern Work category of the 2022 Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards
The Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards acknowledge outstanding successes and innovations by Microsoft partners in over 100 countries worldwide. This highlights the continuous efforts to deliver value to our joint customers by offering beneficial technology solutions for businesses on the Azure marketplace.
To celebrate this milestone, let’s emphasize what makes LumApps and Microsoft a superior Employee Experience solution for major organizations such as Etam Group, Idemia, Proximus, Publicis Sapient and Servier.
LumApps + Microsoft in-depth integrations
LumApps excels by integrating with and enhancing your powerful Microsoft environment, providing a world-class employee experience upgrade for all employees.
LumApps is integrated with Microsoft Outlook Calendars and Email, Word, Excel,, SharePoint, and more, and with Microsoft Azure Active Directory to secure access to LumApps platform and assets.
Our integration with Microsoft Teams helps customers promote and boost their Teams adoption: LumApps captures Teams knowledge, making sure relevant Teams chat information is capitalized on in LumApps and organized when relevant. LumApps also organizes Teams knowledge by surfacing relevant Teams channels in the context of the employee’s journey (department page, relevant community…). LumApps broadcasts knowledge into relevant Teams channels, breaking silos.
Last but not least, LumApps addresses multi-tenant Microsoft configurations, and the needs of large corporations with multiple subsidiaries (such as post-M&A environments or independent LOBs or BUs requiring varying degrees of connection).
LumApps + Microsoft, partners at all levels
LumApps started working with Microsoft on an integration in 2018, and became a Microsoft Gold Partner in 2019. The same year, LumApps was selected as one of only ten European startups to join the Microsoft PAX (Partner, Analytics, and essential eXperiences) program, a technical program where our engineers work on Microsoft technology and provide roadmap feedback before their solutions are released.
We joined their co-sell program in 2020, specifically because Microsoft recognizes that LumApps drives adoption of Teams. Co-selling with Microsoft is defined as any collaborative engagement between Microsoft and their partner ecosystem, including:
- building demand, sales planning, sharing sales leads,
- accelerating partner-to-partner empowered selling,
- delivering marketplace-led commerce for customer transformation.
The highlights of this partnership include an alignment on vision and cooperation of the engineering teams. A company’s decision to invest in their employees and their experience at work will provide high and long-lasting value:
- Proper onboarding,
- Transparent communication,
- Promotion of culture and community, and the navigation of daily activities
- How and where ever they want to work can make the difference between a productive, happy employee and one that stalls or leaves
When it comes to managing business continuity, new ways of working, and digital transformation, here are some examples where LumApps and Microsoft answered needs of a various firms on different topics such as:
- Employer branding
- Employee onboarding
- M&A integrations
- IT modernization
- Employee advocacy
LumApps + Microsoft continued business partnership
Starting in 2022, LumApps put significant attention on the co-sell motion of Microsoft, and is working to align different teams from LumApps and Microsoft on different levels, such as engineering with the R&D of Microsoft, and through our Account Executives’ continuous work with the accounts teams at Microsoft.
One of our proudest achievements with Microsoft includes the first deal secured on the Azure marketplace: Genuine Parts Company ( LumApps is transactable on the Microsoft Azure Marketplace) *
Being on Azure Marketplace enables any Microsoft customer with a Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitment (MACC) to use committed funds to buy Azure services and a third-party solution available on the Azure Marketplace such as LumApps.
As part of our committed partnership with Microsoft, LumApps was the only employee experience platform vendor in Microsoft village at the 2022 VivaTech trade show.
What’s next for LumApps + Microsoft customers?
Recently announced, LumApps Journeys is an intelligent solution that empowers organizations to deliver contextualized employee journeys within the flow of work. It allows flexible and smart orchestration over time, and provides a seamless experience across devices and applications, such as Microsoft Teams.
The Microsoft Search integration will enable customers to expand LumApps search results and unify their ecosystem, providing more opportunities to find information by displaying LumApps results in Microsoft systems – Teams, Windows, and more – via MS Graph connectors, and by displaying results from Microsoft 365 and other connectors within LumApps search pages.
LumApps was among the first Microsoft partners to test Teams’ app name customization feature for branding, graphic identity, and governance implementation before it was officially released. LumApps news feed will appear in Microsoft Teams to provide an immersive experience to employees without context switching, thus transforming Teams into a true knowledge center.
As we are a Microsoft privileged partner at all levels, we are confident that this is a first of many awards and recognitions to come from Microsoft, and are looking forward to future ventures and success with Microsoft.
