Maximize Communication Reach with LumApps Integrations
Gallagher points out in his report “State of the (internal communications) Sector 2021”, that the implementation of a new corporate culture comes at the top of these change management programs, linked to work on values, an evolution of strategy or a pivot in the vision of the company.
- 43% of companies surveyed by Gallagher have planned a culture change program during the year (values, behaviors and styles),
- 40% have planned a process change or new ways of working.
Reach employees through their preferred communication channels
Rely on an internal communication platform to disseminate the company's key messages is a no-brainer. Take advantage of communication channels and preferred collaboration solutions employees will maximize the reach and impact of these messages. Employees feel more involved, which significantly improves the employee experience.
The LumApps employee experience platform includes over 50 connectors with third-party business applications and tools, some of which can be judiciously used by communicators to ensure that strategic messages reach all employees, thus achieving their objectives.
Let's review some of them.
Connectors with communication tools and apps
The LumApps platform is natively integrated into the collaborative suites on the market. Our Microsoft customers and their internal communications departments rely on Microsoft Teams to disseminate information and knowledge (such as articles, news, or posts) from ad-hoc LumApps pages (for example, from the HR portal or the IT support page) to the appropriate Teams channels or “channels”, thus guaranteeing employees to be informed via their preferred communication channels.
These top-down communication capabilities can be complemented by a bottom-up approach, by sharing content from a Teams channel to LumApps (making it accessible via the platform's native search).
Some companies prefer Slack to Teams to facilitate collaboration and exchanges. LumApps also provides equivalent functionality to Slack. The information exchanged in Slack can be shared in a LumApps community for example. Communicators can also relay “top-down” key messages from the platform to the appropriate Slack channels, as displayed in the ad hoc pages.
LumApps' tree structure is completely defined (unlike Slack's structure), so it is easier for an internal communication manager to find the right channel to reach the audience(s) they want target.
With these Slack connectors, pages for IT, HR, or any other department on the LumApps platform can include live chat features. The same is true for the Meetings and internal events type pages, where communicators can immediately answer questions from employees.
Meetings, internal events and other team meetings in virtual mode are accessible directly in the LumApps platform thanks to our integration with Zoom, which provides access and contextual information (such as the agenda, the names of the speakers, a link to the presentation or a survey, etc.). Allowing collaborators to ask questions live from LumApps pages and have real-time discussions via the Zoom chat panel will increase engagement, a critical goal during key announcements.
Attractive graphic rendering of messages
Business objectives, recruitment plans, competitive analysis, reorganization and organizational charts… Some key messages are rich in data or other tables. A picture is worth a thousand words, this type of message will be all the better assimilated if it is complemented by attractive visuals. Awesome Table instantly transforms Google Spreadsheet data into impactful visuals with a set of pre-made templates that require no graphic design skills. The Awesome Table Connector allows internal communication managers to include attractive graphics in LumApps articles and news.
An employee is not always in front of his desk and does not necessarily consult his smartphone. Some move from building to building or work in warehouses or factories. It is not uncommon for internal communication departments to rely on digital screens (“digital signage” systems) to disseminate key information, local internal events, new hires, security procedures, etc. 39% of companies surveyed by Gallagher (59% when it comes to large groups) use this digital display. The integration of LumApps with Comeen Play, a leading online digital signage solution, allows communicators to remotely control all the TV screens of a site and broadcast the content of the LumApps platform that they have selected, ensuring they reach all employees, even those without a fixed office.
Engage employees around objectives, strategy and values
As Gallagher noted in his study, “Engaging people around company goals, strategy and values remains the number one priority for more than half of organizations worldwide.”
With connectors and micro-apps that LumApps offers on its platform, the internal communication services can ensure that each employee, whether at their desk, on the road or on a site, is fully informed of strategic news and feels connected to their company.
